will the raised deck have a good view of the Sorority Jacuzzi?

I hope so. I also hope they put in some of those coin operated telescope thingies ($100 tokens). Think of the revenue it would generate!

What is the over/under until some perv gets caught using a drone to spy on a sorority house?

When I played the track and field teams (Back when we had both Men and Women's track) practiced the throwing events on Westcott just as we did and so one corner of the field was littered with pot holes from the shot puts. I was very surprised we didn't lose more guys to ankle injuries. We played our games on Ownby, and before the field was replaced by astrofurf.
As glad as I am that the IPF is going up and into that location, I am interested if anyone knows where the soccer field and practice track is going. Last I heard, We had plans for a new soccer stadium where the old band field was. I assume that this is still part of the plan.
Soccer will either be at Pettus or possibly across 75 on east campus.
I do not know all the fancy area names but Hart told me the soccer stadium would be where the grass FB practice field is now just west of Ford.

Unfortunately for olympic sports, bball & football are 100x more popular and valuable. I am a fan of soccer and track and swimming but fod God's sake, start the IPF already.
Soccer can play on any field, track can also (Jamaican like grass field facilities), swimming at least has a pool (and somehow managed to win conference after having their natatorium demolished).
Need to hit the GO button on football, get recruiting rolling, then pray football & bball can be the catalyst for all our sports to stay in the big boy (or almost big boy) realm.

That is what I was told by Coach McClements last year so I had assumed that was still the plan but figured some one might have more up to date info. Glad we have a real AD, a real BB coach, and a real FB coach. A rising tide raises all boats. This is great for all sports at SMU.

The soccer team didn't hold this up so don't put the delay on them or give the impression that was the case. I am sure the blame resides in the lack of commitment from our former coach and the resulting vote of no confidence from the money folks. I can't say that I don't blame them.

Not blaming anyone. Just saying that soccer and track will have to chill on their usual facilities location for a season at some point to do the IPF deal. Most sports at SMU have had to deal with some facility disruption in the very recent past (basketball, volleyball, tennis, swimming, etc) but hopefully in the end, all will be better off. Like you said, rising tide raises all boats.

I agree; would be good to have the football team practice at Ford and move to IPF if weather interrupts and have futball played in a nice new stadium on Pettus grounds

Let's just not relocate soccer and switch to lacrosse. Saves money and space and is better for fans and our school.

If we ever do add lacrosse they really need to get their own field. There is nothing more annoying than seeing multiple sport markings on a playing field.
The lacrosse lines were driving me nuts during the spring game.
