College football scoresModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: College football scoresdamn Tennessee got lucky-fumbled at the half yard line but recovered in endzone
Pony Boss-they are ranked No. 9 in the Country, favorites in SEC East and have been recruiting some of the top recruits in the Country-in what world is that Iowa St Last edited by Stallion on Thu Sep 01, 2016 10:02 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: College football scoresAlmost lost the game on that bad decision.
Re: College football scoresI was worried about 10RC until tonight - in shock.
Re: College football scoresIf app St had a kicker with even one game experience it would be over
Re: College football scoresAwful play calls for app st late in the game
Re: College football scoresWell they are overtime.vs a sunbelt school. Yes. Overrated.
Re: College football scoresTennessee records the past few years:
5-7 7-6 6-7 5-7 5-7 7-6 9-4 So, last season they did win 9. But the wins were Bowling Green, Western Carolina, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Texas, Missouri, Vandy, Northwestern, Georgia. Georgia was the only quality win and doesn't justify a top 10 ranking going into this season. So, yes, overrated.
Re: College football scoresTennessee's four losses were by a combined 17 points last year. They're pretty good, but laid an egg tonight and were lucky to win against a sneaky App State team. I'll be very interested to see how they do vs. Va Tech at Bristol Motor Speedway next weekend (150,000 in attendance)

Re: College football scoresTennessee has Top 5 recruiting classes in the last two classes. They are building a rising powerhouse-people that follow college football-except for JasonB and PonyBoy- know this

Re: College football scores
Right, in fact I believe Alabama was losing to Tennessee in the 4th quart last year before barely pulling out a win 19-14. #HammerDown
Re: College football scoresGood win by Minnehaha 30-23 over Oregon St

Re: College football scoresTennessee is a traditionally overrated team that chokes in big games. They need to overcome that before people start talking BCS and championships. You can have all the silver bullets you want in that mag, if you can't hold it steady you won't hit anything.

Re: College football scoresStallion they can have the #1 class for 10 years in a row but to not sniff SEC champ appearances or big bowls and like Puckhead said choking in big games? Overrated and a waste of good talent. Pretty sure HCCM could take us to a NY6 bowl with a 1/4 of the talent they "have"
Re: College football scores
I sure hope you don't categorize App St as a big game. You could call this a trap game simply by looking at Apps record last year but don't fool yourself. They were blown out by Clemson last year, Michigan the year before and Georgia the year before that. To have Tennessee ranked at all in my mind is laughable.
Re: College football scoresOnly about 30% of the teams playing last nite involving at least 1 FBS school scored above 30 points-and many of those games were mismatches with FCS teams. Seemed like a very low scoring nite compared to recent years, Are defenses catching up with the spread or just first game jitters for the offense.
