https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrMbNu1oDBg Both Hart and Turner approved of the UNT addition. No upside for SMU to do that.
Re: North Texas to the American! Why? Because SMU is so much "better"? How about an upside is a W in a conference game and now SMU figures out how to get Baylor or Texas Tech back on the non-conference schedule?
Re: North Texas to the American!NTS brought only a few hundred to their most hated rival this year, it was stunning.
Re: North Texas to the American!
Yes, obviously YES.
Re: North Texas to the American!
+1 We shouldn't be sharing a conference with a community college. Hart has alot of explaining to do. Insert "this is fine" GIF
Re: North Texas to the American!UNT beats Rice 30-24 in OT in a battle of future conference mates...that might just be more our level of competition (after watching Houston run past our guys to a 14-0 lead)
Re: North Texas to the American!
Didn't we beat NTCC like 35-12.... Insert "this is fine" GIF
Re: North Texas to the American!
In both 2017 and 2019 there was more green in Ford than there was red and blue. ‘21 was only a down year and not bringing the Green Brigade (that is much more impressive than y’all’s middle school looking band btw) was over COVID concerns. Don’t act like we don’t help boost yall a lot when it comes to attendance.
Re: North Texas to the American! This will be both enjoyable and a "roll your eyes and chuckle" next two years...

Re: North Texas to the American! The Dallas Team playing The DFW Metroplex Team.
Re: North Texas to the American!
More like Dallas Team playing the north texas-plex community college. Denton may be included in the Nielsen tv north texas mkt but Denton is not part of what normal people consider the DFW metroplex (which most consider to be Dallas, Ft. Worth and the mid-cities)
Re: North Texas to the American!Tell that to North TX. IR hearing its president referring to NT as the biggest school in the metroplex and I can see it coming as a marketing move.
Re: North Texas to the American!
Meh ... wouldn't read much in to those comments other than UNT officials making nice and saying Hart and Turner are nice guys. "We have a good relationship with them" is standard fare for press conferences - probably written for them by PR minions. "It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
... "Hit it."
