I am happy - this is a loss I can accept. JJ never showed up.

JJ never showed up because he convinced Hart that we could not compete and that the game should be cancelled. Hart cancelled the game with JJ crying I cannot compete. That is why JJ never showed up.

It's looking like we're about to get blown out. Have to play more than 30-40 minutes. Even the late 80 & early 90 teams could keep games close for a while.

Late 80s and early 90s had more talent than this squad and had an actual 2 deep in the early 90s

TD Baylor. Our D line cannot put any pressure on the QB and our DBs simply cannot cover that speed for 5 or 6 seconds alone.

Time to bring in Colbert and get him some more QB experience. Nothing to be gained by leaving Davis in the game.

I am excited for the rest of the season. We have some players on offense., and there may be a team or two we play that are a little less skilled than Baylor on offense.

as expected, this game was close until it got out of hand. Obviously we were more competitive than most expected. Big improvement compared to game one last year

Another observation: SMU has made relatively few penalties. This is a reflection of good coaching and attention to detail. Baylor may be too much, but one of the game positives is not beating yourself with penalties.
