With that in mind I met DFFH today and LA Mustang. That and the team improvement makes the trip worthwhile

Didn't we only give up 45 last year? Hard to believe we were only down 7 at half.

Yes, but it could have easily been 70-80.

I understand there is cause for optimism but it's the same story over and over again.

You mean except for the fact that there's cause for optimism?

we don't have the horses to compete with a top 10 team but what I saw tonight leads me to believe we will be very competitive in the AAC. Bring on UNT

If we go 2-2 OOC, we have a decent chance of bowling.

None of them worked out. I think Morris knows his team out of gas.
Of course 2 of those with Colbert in there.

Still happy with what we saw.
We went toe to toe with them!!

The reality of this team and the lack of talent and depth was/is well known. Evaluations from spring practice made it very clear that both the O and D lines were short on talent and depth. In addition, our lack of speed and size at the DB position was also well documented. I believe this staff has done an amazing job based on what I observed this evening. They have really coached up every aspect of the team and instilled a positive attitude. I know that performing well for only 1/2 a game does not translate into any wins; however, Baylor is a top team with great depth, experience and speed and we played them very well until our lack of depth caused us to be spent/fatigued in the 3d quarter. I view this game as very positive. The team is well coached, the play calling was generally very good, the staff recruited a good frosh class and many frosh played and played very well. We all realistically knew that the goal this season was to improve, be competitive and maybe win a few games while recruiting all our weak positions and for depth. We will continue improve and I will enthusiastically look forward to the development of this team which may not necessarily be graded based on wins and losses, but improvement, attitude and competitiveness.
