It will be a real test of HCCM leadership abilities to get the team fired up to play in a high school stadium.

You know the Frisco Bowl is not at the High School stadium, right? It's at Toyota Stadium, which is a great facility for a game like that.

I wouldn't rule out UH v. North Texas in Frisco.....

He might be referring to it as a high school stadium as the Toyota park holds on 20,500 and a high school like Allen holds 18,000. We are getting dangerously close to insulting our own stadium, lol. :)

A vacation paradise. How are the Motel 6 and Cracker Barrel going to survive if we stay home?

Apparently you haven't spent much time in Frisco

Apparently you've spent too much time in Frisco. Not exactly a "destination" for fans to go to a bowl game.

Still has SMU playing LA Tech in Frisco, but a few other notes on bowl game negotiations (one may impact AAC). https://www.facebook.com/TheBrettMcMurp ... 1127453277

LA Tech won’t be fun but at least Frisco is good for the fans.

Actually, at the moment, with the National Soccer Hall of Fame building under construction in the south end zone, capacity is at 16.5k.... Maybe Allen should host the Bowl.....

It's a HS stadium that they play soccer in. Frisco ISD is a major tenant and uses the stadium more than the soccer team does. High School Stadium. Not even a good football stadium at that.

Might as well play in Allen if they wanted to put it in a good HS stadium. Allen has had crowds over 22K before and there is plenty of room in the End Zone to add additional temporary seating.

Locks like additional seating is completed in South Endzone but the National Soccer Hall of Fame Building behind seating will not be completed

We sold out the Armed Forces Bowl and brought somewhere close to 10,000 to Birmingham. Plus showed better than Reno or Fresno in Hawaii. SMU fans are bowl friendly and spend money.

After analyzing the AAC Bowl projections I think the reason for the Frisco Bowl selection might be correct is because the 2 other AAC bowls are Cure on December 16 and Boca Raton on December 19th which would have a larger conflict with SMU final exam schedule which SMU has identified before as a consideration. Usually the team arrives 4-5 days early so the Cure Bowl especially would be problematic. Hey it might suck but so would several players flunking their exams

People around UH believe they are headed to Hawaii-makes sense

Since this past summer (July or August) I have been told the Frisco Bowl was wanting SMU to get eligible.
It kind of makes since. Yes, there are things to do, Tour Jones World practice facility, Shop at the mall, indoor skydive, Long walks out in the countryside... lol ( only a few miles from Oklahoma! )

My plans are to get a hotel room and listen to music, have a few drinks, maybe play a round of golf and get ready for tailgate. Think about the Jimmy Buffet concerts there. Bring out the tailgate BIG TIME.

Chad and Team have 7 freaking wins. No comment on DC.
