We sold out the Armed Forces Bowl at Ford a few years ago in terrible weather against Army. Thanks for taking every opportunity to take a dump on our fans though. You're nothing if not predictable.

And the Aggies. The 2 lowest ranked in the West won. I still believe as a conference division, SEC West is the strongest. All seven teams making bowl games says something. I am very impressed with the statement the Big10 is making in the bowl games. It seems it took Urban Meyer to convince the Big10 that speed kills. I was very impressed with OSU. I am still picking Oregon but who knows.
Harbaugh to Michigan should also help raise Big 10 profile in a few years. These things always seems to go in cycles. Everyone forgets how Alabama was crap under Shula less than 10 years ago.

And you might want to go back and watch that Compass Bowl in Birmingham a few years ago as well. We brought a solid contingent to one of the most backwater parts of the country against Pitt.
Our fans will show up when we have a product we feel is worthy of our time and passion. June Jones and the 2014 team killed all of that. Let's hope Morris can unify this fractured family and not take every chance he can to run us down.

Ouch. footballdad wrote:36 degrees and steady rain will do that. If SMU was playing in Ft. Worth today doubt a 1000 fair weather fans would show.
Agreed, conditions like that would discourage most fans from attending.

This might be the dumbest thing you've ever said. And that is really impressive. We sold out our Armed Forces Bowl against Army in similar weather conditions. We traveled better than Pitt to Birmingham. Are you really that dense?

When you having a coaching staff that literally couldn't care less about the school and its fans/alumni/students/etc. combined with the most uncompetitive SMU team since the '89 team then guess what? Attendance is going to be awful.
Give Chad Morris two years of his relentless passion, message, and embracing of SMU and watch what happens. Go see basketball which you've also taken every opportunity to try and run down as being a "flash in the pan." SMU alumni desperately want to support this university. Look at what we have been able to do from a fundraising and academic perspective. That same passion is there for athletics. But as someone who is antagonistic at best towards the university you wouldn't know or care about that. Par for the course.

It was cool and overcast that day, but it wasn't "terrible weather". There was no rain or snow during the game. http://espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=303642567

It was cold and dank. Lets not act like what's going on FW today is some sort of unprecedented artic blast. Its chilly and rainy. The attendance is reflective of two teams in transition.

Texans don't sit in terrible weather. The paid attendance in Ft Worth today will likely be around 40,000 just like it always is. The stadium does provide plenty of covered standing room viewing of the game
