No moral victories,

I agree and I am not sure if Willis would have made a difference. Defense played great...Remember they got 7 on an Effing punt return....

Good Grit by SMU tonight and hats off to Slater, he is a Warrior.

It happens every year to every team. You are going to lose games you shouldn't (NTSU) and win games you shouldn't (? UTEP is a good example).

We now must go ahead with the rest of the season and treat each game individually. Realistically, we can go 4-2 and still be bowl eligible.

Let's face it. We are going to have to win 7 games to go to a bowl. I don't care if it is the Middy Flush 2000 Toilet Bowl, we are still on track.

Yes, we lost. Yes, we lost our starting QB. Yes, we lost 2 of our starting DEs. We only lost this game by 4 points. We are going in the right direction.

GO PONIES!!!!!

It's a shame that all the other teams that have also deserved the death penalty have never recieved it...

Read A Payroll to Meet our only mistake was doing it too well and too fast. That book could be a blueprint, with only a few minor changes needed. It has to be done slow, like TCU, to avoid attracting too much attention. But that is another topic.

Please stop referring to the Death Penalty as the source of our problems. In a year or two there will be freshmen that weren't alive when that happened. The only people keeping down SMU is SMU.

Indeed, the Death Penalty itself isn't the source of the problem anymore. It's that the Admin acts like we're constantly on the verge of getting it again, and we've held ourselves above and beyond a resonable standard of conduct ever since. (certainly compared to almost every other program in Div I football)

I was less than six months old when it was handed down. This years freshmen were not born (for the most part).

Even if future SMU students and football players were not born during the DEATH PENALTY, i am pretty sure they will know about SMU infamous act.
