Well, since you posted this on the "football board" I thought we were talking about football. My mistake. I agree we should be much more competitive in basketball, albeit Duke might be a bit much, but every time I suggest we make hoops our emphasis I'm met with a chorus of "fool this is Texas and football is king here...."
However, if you think we are going to go up against the "big boys" in football, then we do part ways. I want us to be the best mid-level team we can cuz that's all the potential we've got. To get up to the next level, at a minimum, we'd have to get into a BCS conference, and I don't see that happening in our lifetimes.
