Actually FF, St. Mark's School of Texas (Dallas private school) is much more selective than TCU accepting only 25% of their applicant pool. This is also supplied by the admissions department websiet.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

• Is it because TCU left Conference USA because it was, and is, falling apart? [21-10. Enough said. Have fun playing those west coast teams that no one cares about. Hmm... "Are we in Laramie or Provo, coach?"]
• Is it because TCU has a better athletics and academics programs all around? [TCU taught you well. Well, maybe not. Let's fix this sentence, shall we? How about, "Is it because TCU has better athletic and academic programs all around?" Learn your elementary rules of agreement before touting your TCU education.]
• Is it because TCU doesn't bend the rules, or cheat, in their football program to become supuriour? [Hey, you're only off by 2 letters! Misspelling "superior" when trying to claim that that is what you are probably isn't recommendable, but then again, you're a frog.]
• Is it because TCU has one of the best, if not the best, recruiting classes for football? [First of all, it would do you well to replace "for" with "in" if you want to avoid having 6th graders laughing at you. On second thought, they probably would start choking as soon as they read a frog claiming to have the best recruiting class in the nation.]
I hope you enjoy your wonderful TCU education. I'm a senior in high school and I had better grammar when I was in 4th grade than you do now.

Actually I would put TCU a close 3rd behind UNT on academics!

How about this: for every one independent ranking organization that you give me that ranks SMU higher than TCU, I'll give you five that don't. Keep in mind, you must site your sources...
The Princeton Review gives SMU an academic rating of 85, TCU 80 and Baylor 79.
Forbes lists the top 60 business schools in America. Four schools from Texas are represented: UT #11, A&M #24, SMU #31 and Rice #41. TCU did not make the list.
The Financial Times currently ranks the Cox EMBA program among the top 15 in the U.S. and among the top 30 in the world.
US News and World ranks SMU #71 academically, Baylor #78 and TCU #97.
Those are 4 independent rankings that place SMU over TCU academically.
Hey DF, you need to come up with 20.

I am a four-year graduate of Harvard, 2004, and an avid TCU fan. I am also aged with this board -- only to be back when the "Ponies" fall short to Texas A & M.
Trenton.

I think we found out this last election cycle that a degree from an ivy league school, while it sounds impressive, really means nothing unless the person who obtained it is worth more than what they use to wipe their backside.
Now, having said that after pitching a hissy fit about how our superiority over you was based on nothing more than subjective opinions without fact, you turn around and do the same thing. I would suggest before you attempt to argue with someone that you not be guilty of your own accusations. I would venture to say that after your display on this board you are one who is not worth much more than that with which they wipe their backside.

Harverd and not TCU, huh? Well, that explains how you know how to count to four.
Come on back after the game. No matter what happens to the Mustangs this week, that won't change the @ss-kicking we put on TCU last week, loser.

I'm gonna vote "no" only because I think they need to be humbled a little more.

Froggie couple of things:
A) Can you share some of that stuff you are smoking to think that TCU had one of the best recruiting classes for football in 2005, 2004, 2003 or 2002 for that matter? Using Rivals for these years can't find a top 25 class for the toads.
B) I am ashamed with the US educational system if someone who can not spell superior went to one of our top universities...or could this be a case of a lying froggie? You do realize that the Harvard that is in the magazines isn't in west texas somewhere right?
Believing that you are a smart froggie (which is a contradiction in terms), you should realize that arbitrarily spouting off stats without backing doesn't make them facts.
C) Finally, Just a hint on acceptance rates...if school A gets 10000 applications from idiots who can't tie their shoe and let in only 1000. They are technically more selective than school B that gets 5000 applications from Rhodes scholars and lets in 1000....but which is stronger academically? In case you are a lying froggie, I will solve this for you...school B would be the right answer!
As I have said many times before...go home froggie, we are done with you and now it is time to think about the Aggies.

Since it doesn't look like anyone has addressed this one specifically yet...
how about the Director's Cup rankings for the last 5 years. These are a ranking of overall athletic department performance, not just skewed towards football and basketball.
04-05
47. SMU
95. TCU (6 behind Rice, a well known athlete-friendly school)
03-04
44. SMU
53. TCU
02-03
41. SMU
64. TCU
01-02
47. SMU
60. TCU (5 behind Rice)
00-01
29. SMU
52. TCU
