Tyler is a 1.5 - 2-hr. drive from Dallas. The heat today and tomorrow will be tremendous; it's supposed to be in the mid-80s Saturday. Also, TWC guys have been saying that Rita's moving 10 miles further east every 8 hours or so. At this rate, we'll end up being west of the eye, and that's good for us, but bad for LA.

Does anybody know if the athletic department considered cancelling this game or at least postponement until later in the season?
I suppose they could have post-poned it until the bi-week? But maybe Tulane's bi-week wasnt the same week? I wonder how many will show up Sat? 2 hotter than hell games and now a hurricane game. We need some nice Fall weather and soon! ![]() C-ya @ Milos!
someone told me they are advising people to not set up any tents on the blvd this weekend.

don't let that graphic fool you. this storm is HUGE. Better hope for significant shear before it comes on shore because it may impact Dallas more dramatically and earlier than anyone expects. We lost power from Katrina here in Columbia (almost 1000 miles from the eye) because of a storn spawned by the outer edges of Katrina as it passed well south and west of us. I'd love to see this game played, but not if it means putting anyone in harm's way. Those of you living closer to the coast know what I'm talking about. Respect all hurricanes and what they can spawn.
