So it sounds like you NTSC folks have a real disdain for everything SMU. That's too bad; I guess you'll have to make due without your offensive coordinator. Oh yeah, about your head coach...where was he working before he landed in Denton?
You're welcome.

Apparently their sore spot would be remedied if Kuby's were open for dinner on weekdays, and if Ball's expanded.

True. A law school which is unable to beat the likes of Texas Tech and South Texas in Bar passage rates. Plus, a J.D. is only one doctoral degree. Where are the other several dozen to match UNT's offerings? Plus, since we're considering things "in-progress" as in play (like Legacy) I'll put down good money that UNT's downtown law school will make that pile of bricks on Hillcrest as empty as your football stadium. CalallenStang wrote:The SMU-in-Legacy campus is designed primarily as an outreach center to the community. SMU is also working on experimenting with new types of courses at that campus. How about this one? http://guildhall.smu.edu/
I'll see your Legacy with UNT-Ft. Worth (HSC/Pharmacy School) and raise you an entire new campus (UNTD). Plus, terms like "outreach center" (place for unsucessful 40-year-olds to catch up) and "experimenting with new types of courses" (like this "business negotiation" certificate program, which SMU would already have if not for the fact that it's business school doesn't grant PHDs) are fancy terms DeVry and Phoenix use for their degree-by-night schools as well. CalallenStang wrote:What's your problem with UP?
Honestly, that Kuby's isn't open for dinner weekdays, and Ball's is too small. SMU Football Blog wrote:NTSU lost to La-Monroe, which lost to Northwestern State, a freaking I-AA team. Ahh, the 'ol transitive property of College football. So if we beat Baylor by, say, 45 points and you lost by several, does that mean we should win by 50? And were now arguing about dining? Sheesh, these Ponies sure are scraping the bottom. And for the record, it was a Western Sizzlin', not a Sizzler.
Did you get the good shift at Red Lobster? Did you get the gig through the NTSU alumni association?
Willis to slot receiver!

Can't we just go back to arguing about important things, like whether Phil should keep the goatee or maybe how much caviar will be served at the kickoff luncheon and if there will be a special room for our valet's to watch the luncheon from since they are not welcome in the main hall with us SMU grads.
So why don't "you people" go back across the tracks and take your inferiority complex, fun babies, and Class C RV's back to Denton, Boyd, or Krum.

Its called rankings...Try not to be to frightened by the numbers on the page but you will find us at 43 second only to UT in texas. 2005 US News RankingsLegend500 wrote: "experimenting with new types of courses" are fancy terms DeVry and Phoenix use for their degree-by-night schools as well.
Or the hall marks of our nationally ranked business school (again we are going to try the link thing, don't be scared: Rankings If you made the link, you might have noticed the #5 ranking for our "new type of courses" entrepreneurial program. Sure that would make sense...provided you could really beat Baylor by fourty five last year. How about we do another one for you...we lost to Tulsa in overtime while you lost 54-2.

I hear Lawn Cutting companies interview at the College and University of North Texas. There are certain jobs even Aggies won't do.

Eaststang, you must be mistaken. I have never heard of a University of North Texas. I did hear that there was a school called North Texas State, but as I mentioned above, that might be a community college.

What a stupid argument. The last time NTSCC played Baylor, you lost by 21. The last time we played them, we lost by five. So by that token, we should beat you by double digits.

...it baffles me that we are even entertaining "trash talk" from NTSU, I laugh....that school is a joke, so far down on the radar, it is laughable that some bozo from Denton is trying to compare / trash SMU....and I thought tcu had an inferiority complex. In my 45 years, I have only met ONE NTSU grad, ONE!! Some blue jean wearing, camel 100 smokin', no sun screen faced, red neck, nice guy, though....

I know 3 NTSU grads. One manages a paint store, another is a junior bank employee trying to pay for his fun baby, and the other is crazy and not sure if he is currently employed. I do not work with anyone at my company that is a NTSU grad and we are one of the largest employers in the area. However, we do have lot's of field services, tech, and administrative types that I don't deal with on a daily basis. Not even sure if any of the teachers at my kid's school went there. I ain't talking smack, just passing on the truth.

I go back to what I have always said to NTSCC'ers and Div. II schools fans that come on here trying to start something.
Please do not mistake our indifference for animosity. It isn't that we hate you, it is that we don't care. We don't care about NTSCC or Sam Houston or Texas State or Louisiana Monroe or whatever.
