This seems to be a good old days syndrome argument. While I think the 80's uniforms are cool, I like our current look, helmet and all.
I wouldn't mind having the old uni's in a throw back game or even as an alternate uni for big games, and I wouldn't be disappointed if we went back all together. But I don't think our current uniforms are as bad as everyone seems to think they are...in fact I think they are quite sharp.

All in all, I'd prefer whichever uniform gets us in the winner's circle more often.

As long as they don't consult the pom squad I'm happy, otherwise we would end up with pink and green uniforms.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Royal blue is not one of the school colors. If they want to go back to the white helmet with a crimson mustang...that's fine with me as long as they put stripes on the helmet too. One year they had the white helmet with no stripes...looked like a bunch of ping pong balls out there. I think the current uniform and helmet look great if they get rid of the wierd side panels and piping. The blue and/or white mustangs of the past looked bad...the mustang should always be crimson (see my avatar)!

there seems to be some divisive thoughts on this subject........personally we should stick to what Robert S.Hyer listed as the university colors and make them work...we do not need to look like the Kansas City Royals.....

Put me down as a guy who doesn't give a rats behind what we wear. What is this, the Chanel hour?
Side note. I enjoyed jt's "unique" joke.

They're having this exact same debate over on the Hook'em Horns message board. They get into more arguments year-after-year over what their uniforms ought to look like. Now they want white helmets with a burnt orange longhorn head on the side, two thin stripes on the sleeve, "TEXAS" in block letters above the number on the front and plain white pants (with no stripes). I guess fans everywhere worry about the same stuff. Personally, I wish they'd go back to orange helmets.

I'm with you, Stallion. Not very many people see our uniforms anyway.

The one thing that might be okay would be for the team to have blue pants when wearing white jerseys like the Redskins and the Jets have colored pants with white jerseys and white pants with colored jerseys. That of course is more expensive since they would have to have two sets of pants instead of one. That would also allow them to get wild sometimes and come out in an all white uniform.

That's a little extreme jt...I was only going to cut your hand off, until you explained the cleverness of your post.
