I have to agree with you and Blog. While I certainly agree with not jumping the gun, the argument made by others only makes sense if you are waiting for a better alternative. SMU is choosing to pass on some of the best looking girls (Barnett, Fran, Bowden, Neuheisel, etc.) and waiting on semi-attractive/average-looking girls that don't necessarily make sense for SMU or have boyfriends they probably don't want to leave to join us (Kragthorpe, PJ, JJ, etc.) With all things being equal, I think the former are much more attractive options than the latter. Now consider that the former are single and ready to mingle and the latter are taken and not all that great and it is a no brainer. I guess SMU just enjoys the thrill of the chase.

where in the heck has this clear headed, articulate voice (The JumpShooter) been. Obviously a child prodigy since he seems to be making his first appearance.

I think it might be bigdaddy1i3i4y5y322 in step 3 of his 12 step program.

Bigdaddy would have never made it to a step 3. They would have told him to leave after the first 10 minutes for cussing.

An excuse to print out your digital pictures and spend money on stuff to decorate your "scrapbook" including acid free paper and other stuff. It seems to be the in-thing for your Craftsy types. My wife asks the same thing about my toy trains. They just go around in a circle. To which I respond, except if they're in the yard or if I start throwing switches.

Why don't you have your wife make a scrapbook of the SMU coaching search? There is enough content and photos in the "Secret Coach" thread alone to fill about 7 scrapbooks . . .

After much consideration and intense deliberation (and other words that are way out of the real Brent Musburger's comprehension)...I have decided to join PonyFans. As a loyal PonyFans window shopper for the last 2 years, I think it's way overdue But this is probably the funniest page I've ever read on this site, so kudos to the good humored Pony congregation and their analogies for officially bringing me into the site that will now command 90% of my day, every day. Fran or Jones would bring a smile to my face. Commence the winning Pony Nation.

Since we are making first posts here, let me throw my hat in the ring. For purely personal reasons(that I will get into in future posts) I would love to see JJ on The Hilltop. I do however, feel that Fran is a better fit. All that being said, I dont care if we lure Jerry B. away from the Linden Kildare Tigers, just as long as we get someone in place before we have to compete with Cisco Jr. College for what is left in the recruiting market.
