Gotcha. Sorry for the misread.
I am not promoting anyone. I just think that would be an additional splash to an already good hire that we got. Kind of like an aftershock.

So what if he's a bit crazy. Our defense would have driven the most sane person crazy last year. At least we can skip a step in it. And I don't care if he was a jerk in Atlanta, he'll be our jerk now. And by the way, don't you think a kid who finds Jerry Glanville in his living room will be a little bit impressed.

The kid will probably go "who's Gary Glanville?" Most of these kids were barely or not even born when Glanville was coaching in the Pros.

We don't want any of those who were "barely born" anyway.

Kevin Lempa for DC, plz. His wife is from the NE, so maybe she doesn't want to leave Maryland for Texas? Thinking out loud
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones

I would take the barely born before the not even born.

That game looks like it is about as much fun as these quite popular games:
Tom Rossley's Moral Victory Machine (Sega Genesis, 1991)
Phil Bennett's Mustache Ride (Nintendo, 1988)
Mike Caven's "Keep Hershel from talking to other programs" Bowl (Sega Saturn, 1996)

None of us thought June Jones would leave Hawaii for the SMU HC job...

Wouldn't you leave Portland St. for a good position at SMU??? Besides, he would be back in an environment that he knows with JJ. In addition, I would think he would make more money. Doubt if he needs the money but one never knows. The 10 day time cycle matches with the first day of signing. He could ask some of his most important recruits to not sign until a couple of days later and then talk about the great opportunities at SMU.
Granted he is a loose cannon but also a very good coach. Most people either really like him or really dislike him.
I think many of us are getting tired of the anticipation of a complete staff.
GO PONIES!!!!!

he could hand the job to his offensive coordinator Mouse Davis, who invented the Run and Shoot AT Portland State and who is a former Head Coach at Portland St. who coached a guy named June Jones and Neil Lomax.
