The difference might just come down to victories over TCU and Big East Division Champ Cinncinnati. Tech would face the exact same situation-even worse-if they had simply a respectable loss against OU.
Or if Tech beats OU it doesnt matter who they play right?

right.
This is so absurd.
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!

I would say it is TOTALLY appropriate for SMU to soften it's football schedule the next 2 years. Nobody comes to our games anyways, so who cares who we play? It's important for Jones to install his system and for these guys to learn how to win...no matter who they are beating.
Hopefully they can substitute Hawaii for Missou. Nice "reward" trip for the guys for their hard work...and if we go to Hawaii, we can schedule a 13th game and extend the season...because I don't see a bowl game on the horizon anytime soon.

only 1 FCS win counts to bowl eligibility so lets see if we can get NTSU, DUKE, UW, and WSU on the scedule for next year

If UNT has an opening or can arrange one, that's who we need to be playing right now...instead of Missouri

This is a very good change - I dont care if we beat the sisters of the blind - I want some wins. Totally meaningless, empty wins would be just fine thank you. We can then graduate to wins over our peers, and then we can THINK about wins over half way decent programs.
It is time we start a season not in the hole - just for something new.
