I have always liked CalallenStang's name. Just not sure he is from Calallen, Wildcats never quit.

Alright, you want to play that way, I'll play.

Only an IDIOT would say that playing an away game at 11 AM on ESPN2 on a day when people aren't going to be watching (since they will be tuned into end of season games/B12/SEC/ACC championships) with the risk of not going to a bowl is BETTER than going to a bowl game.

Only an IDIOT would mis-read my posts on this thread so as to interpret what I'm saying as that we "should" lose...all I am saying is that I hope we go 7-5, go to the CUSA championship, and go to a bowl game, but if we somehow get into the CUSA championship at 6-6, we'd better damn sure make sure we win it because otherwise we will be sitting at home.

Only an IDIOT would be unable to spell my username.

You, sir, are the IDIOT.

There is little chance of this happening, but I want us to play in the conference championship game even if the risk of losing means we don't go to a bowl. If we are a member of a conference we should want the chance to be champion.

I guess I am one of many idiots who feel the same way. If we are 6-6 with a bowl invite, I fear it will be a matchup with a really mediocre MAC or WAC team and the win wouldn't mean much. Yes, there is more practice time with a bowl invite, but when you factor in exam week and the extra week gained by the conference championship, it doesn't mean much.

You have no clue. For the record I hope we go 7-5 and go to the CUSA championship. All I am saying is if we somehow end up in the CUSA championship at 6-6 (which is a long shot that would require both Tulsa and Houston to lose at least one more and I think UTEP would have to lose as well), we had better win or we won't be bowling.

Getting to the CUSA championship, losing, and not going bowling would be worse for this program than not getting to the CUSA championship and going bowling.

Do you not get it?

Oh I get it alright. You're a loser.

Topper at least provides his reasoning. You, on the other hand, do not. Demeaning someone for having a point of view without even bothering to offer reasons for disagreement is indicative of a person who feels inadequate in their own convictions on an issue.

After giving it some thought, you don't even have to do that. Just find the point that I made that you disagree with.

FYI, a summation of my points:

1) I hope we go 7-5 and think we've got a great chance to do so.
2) If we go 6-6, we probably won't be in the championship game.
3) If we somehow do get into the championship game at 6-6, we'd better win, because otherwise we will be sitting at home during the bowl game - the game that the recruits would be watching.
4) I don't want our team to be in a "Liberty Bowl or Bust" situation if the scenario in #3 takes place...I think our team deserves a bowl game, and we could definitely use the extra practice that a bowl game would bring.

So which is it, point 1? point 2? point 3? point 4? Obviously one of them has you in a tizzy.

And further, I'm not the guy that said Tulsa "deserves" it more than we do...I can't believe anyone on here would make such a post. The team that deserves it the most is the team that finishes at the top of the standings.

hate to do this, but this thread is wearing me out.

is it because of a reluctance to have to face UCF?

or Tulsa?

disclaimer: I tried finding an actual Tulsa hottie pic. I really did. Other than the blase cheerleader photos we saw during Tulsa week, I came up with nothing. This placeholder will have to do, unless expony18 has one to offer up from his personal collection.

I'm not afraid of facing UCF, but I would rather start by sneaking up from behind.

All I can say is that I'm proud to have the author of this thread as a fellow alum. He loves the school, has season tickets, makes the effort to come up from San Antonio to watch the games as much as he can around his kiddos schedules and will never relinquish these tickets.

He's a good man!

Thanks

RGV, the UCF girl has also been seen posing in University of Florida...um...garb? Her loyalty to UCF was thus a major topic of debate on CUSAbbs this summer.
