New rugs traditionally are slower surfaces until they're "broken in."
I wonder how Ford's new turf will affect Pro Day.

Any updated pix of the installation available (from anyone)?
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Spent some time yesterday afternoon relaxing in front of the scoreboard - was a good location considering the scoreboard blocked the gale-force wind - and watching turf installers "assemble" the "S", "M", and "U" red (with white outline) letters for the endzone. Workers were laying-in the final "20", "10" and "G" on the field. Hash marks next "the man" said. Royal Blue north end zone has been installed. Players were checking out the work and running bleachers.

Snapped these pics a few days ago.
The blue in the endzones seems to be a lot more vivid than the previous incarnation, IMO. Also, a different font and no Ford Stadium logos to go with the block "SMU" (at least not now).
They were laying out the block "Mustangs" in the opposite endzone, but hadn't installed them yet.
Still a lot of work to do. No running pony installed at midfield yet, and the yard markers hadn't been sewn in either.

Oh my goodness those end zones are so cool!

I hope we spend a lot of time in them this fall.

They also moved the old turf (at least the endzones) to the practice field. Real easy to see from Mockingbird.

I heard adidas was working on new jerseys...wonder if they'll match the end zone colors.

I agree. Hope so. Need some Pony Express home jerseys. Road whites look fine

WTF? New uniforms? Why arent we freaking out about this? What's going on? Colors? Are we going back to blue (I hope)? Anyone have pics? Any kind of scoop? That was like seven consecutive questions. No black uniforms, por favor.
