I'm not wrong. We showed that people can get excited and will come out for a game. But, our fan base and alumni being what they are, making it extremely difficult to get to game isn't going to help build the long-term support we need.

The staff has repeatedly made PR plunders that were unnecessary. If we were to pass on the LIberty Bowl for the Hawai'i Bowl, it would be another one.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

This whole discussion is putting the cart before the horse. The discussion should start once we are bowl eligable. At that point depending on when it happens/ what are season is looking like, we should start pressing Orsini. Even though Orsini has been highly deferential to JJ, Orsini is the one who ulitmately makes the decision of what bowl we attend. O would need to be approached by TCOC and other donors who would have to uniformily make the case and insist on the liberty bowl. I like what JJ has done for SMU on the field and that gives him a wide birth from me when it comes to most things relating to the program, this decisioon however is not one of them. there is no justification for going to the Hawaii bowl over the Liberty bowl other than it's JJ's preference to have a paid Hawaii vacation (which should be unacceptable to us as fands and Orsini as the AD).
