I park 3 or less blocks away in the neighborhood for every game, including tcu when it was full. If we expand to 50k and people have to walk a couple miles through the park cities they will be fine. This is for 6 days a year, people would manage. Could have shuttles if needed.
shuttles from where? UP just enacted a residential permit that bans non residents from parking near campus from 9-5pm everywhere west of campus. if people could use the parking lot by the phoenix and have a shuttle from there that would be nice but in honesty we haven't sold out in forever so we really cannot measure the logistical problems of 35k let alone 50k
People already can park at Mockingbird Station (shopping center or park and ride lot) and take a shuttle from there to campus.

I believe that is 9-5 on weekdays, most games are on weekends. Lots of parking south of mockingbird which is HP anyway. Could either or both of them change the law? Yes, but when we talk about getting the local community and leaders (i.e. Dallas mayor) we will have to include support from HP and UP to be good neighbors and not outlaw street parking at least on gamedays. I was imaging that in the amazing event that we had so many people that some had tom park two miles away, we could have small shuttles on a fixed route through the neighborhoods. Personally I think people can walk, but just threw the shuttle idea out there as an option.

they need to decrease every seat in size by 1/4 and add seats like the nfl? That would be give us another 10k seats. Or they just need to sell out just one game in this century in the existing stadium during a game where the opponent is a cusa school.

Again, use the Byron Nelson remote parking model. Have said this numerous times. The old Valley view mall parking lot can be a shuttle location. Have a shuttle from victory plaza area - park at dicks or hooters and catch a shuttle.
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

the law just went into effect so that isn't changing anytime soon, maybe it doesn't include weekends but we still don't have enough parking, period....the average person is not willing to hump it to a game, remember that

We sold out TCU last year. Anyway, SMU can just buy that big parking lot that is behind the Green Elephant near the Radisson where that movie theater used to be, and just plop a huge parking garage on it. Shuttles from there. Problem solved. They already own that large office building right by the Radisson, so it's not out of the question.

you do realize it took them 2 yrs to build the last garage, right? that is a laughably slow pace. it should have taken 6 months TOPS!

What the heck does that mean? Need I remind you that the TCU game was completely packed including people sitting on the hill and it was about 70% red and 30% purple?

Or if used midgets to size the seats like the Aggies' did at Kyle Field, we could fit another 20,000. Of course, if we added 5 tiers in the endzone like the Aggies, we could match or exceed their 80,000 seat stadium.

Already own it. There is so much parking at the office buildings east of 75 that renting those lots and garages and running shuttle buses will not be a problem. Let's get the fans in Ford first, the parking and shuttles will be solved as necessary.
Just send 'da money.
