Almost any type of crowd will be more than we had at UAB in 2009. We had more at Marshall that year, and Huntington was much harder to get to.

Yep, but that was a fun celebration after the game!

I was at the Hall of Fame Cafe until Midnight! Then I had to drive back to Louisville to catch my 7:00am flight. Leaving right after this game too for a 6:00pm flight out of LIT. Ah, the joys of non-rev travel.

Interstate BBQ, which is not on an interstate. Or Central BBQ, which was highly recommended by Memphis fans. Or Rendezvous, which is owned by a fellow Mustang

After that UAB game, I caught an early Sunday flight to meet my family at Disney World. No joke.

We were leaving at the same time to catch our 7:00 am flight BHM-STL-DAL. We have a back-up flight on Sunday morning this time in case we miss the 6p for some reason. You're welcome to ride back with us if you want and your crew wants to stick around Memphis for a while after the game.

I go to Memphis all the time so if you have never been to any of the three, let me help you/anyone else interested. Interstate BBQ is in the fringes of the ghetto but has the best BBQ beans I have ever had, period. Besides that it's decent. Rendesvous is an institution, no question, and a spot to see eventually. Very convenient also being in the middle of downtown. But if it comes down to one of the 3 you have to go to Central BBQ, best pork I have ever had by freaking miles. In Memphis it is all about pork and everyone who lives in Memphis goes there for a reason, it is so damn good. Central is so good, that it is the reason I felt obligated to post this. I've been to every spot in Memphis, and it is by far the best in terms of pork. Either get a pulled pork sandwich or the pulled pork nachos.
