That gives you 74 teams in AQ conferences if the SEC adds 1, Big 12 adds 1 and Big East gets to 12. Thats the big IF. We have a shot if its 74, not 62.

I know it involves recruiting players that are competitive at a BCS level, scheduling teams our fans care about and somehow managing to involve our own alumni, family and friends.

Then the BE ceases to exist and MWC and CUSA are fighting for the spot. Brittowski needs to grow a pair and get TCU and USF into the conference and go to the BCS saying "We are a BCS worthy conference."

so how do you schedule teams the fans care about if you are stuck in CUSA, and either unable or unwilling to go Independent? Are you talking about non-conference scheduling? We already play TCU. Baylor and A&M just cancel on us. Texas won't play us it doesn't seem like because they already play in Dallas.

Why? TCU has steadily increased its season tickets in- oh yeah-a non-BCS conference. You got to get the players that can give our fans some pride when we kick TCU, Baylor, Tech and yes A&Ms [deleted]. Don't have those players yet-but just remember TCU did just that. Nobody gives a ratsass about beating Northwestern Tech. You want to get those fans back and have them buy season tickets then you've got to beat those teams.

I thought they just had a new temporary stadium club level seating-or are you talking about their endzone facility? How do you get high dollar donors to sit in the endzone anyway.

Agreed. We don't have 4-5 years to build SMU into a TCU or Boise State. I'm not even sure we'll have schedules to prove that progress when/if we get there. I liked the response we got nationally from the SMU2B12 campaign..."SMU?, oh yeah...SMU, what are we going to do about them?" It's time for SMU to continue acting like a bigger dog than it is.
