It seems my SMU Nike MockUps have become a hit! I emailed them to Phil Hecken (uni-watch.com) about a month ago, but he never posted them... Oh well, it seems Ponyfans is sending them to all the right people! Keep it up!

how bout this - since we are the only D1 program that has a logo that is probably the most recognized in the auto industry, we go with CHROME helmets.

I know i know, the mustang goes the other way, but it would look freakin sweet!

Oregon broke out the black chrome helmets in the Rose Bowl this year. Matte colored helmets have been overused in Pro Combat uniforms in the past. I don't put it past Nike to give us black chrome helmets. You may get your wish... My mockups are edgy, but very conservative. We are the type of school Nike will go crazy with! I have no clue what to expect! Either way I am very excited to see the prototypes!

Keep the uniforms the exact same ... all whites are best ... except maybe make our home jersey yale blue. keep the stripes on the sleeves but lose them on the pants. and definitely do NOT touch peruna - the helmet should remain untouched. period. imho.

i'd love to see creative mockups from our talented graphic designers on this board.

The definitive SMU color resource. It's bold putting out your creations on PF, we must be the most nit-picky fans. Thank you. No matter what, these are way better than what Nike would dream up from scratch. Maybe they'll help "prime" what ideas they do come up with.

Ha. Funny. I think I'm just being superstitious because I think we had the stripes on the pants during the aTm game and then lost them the rest of the season. I think.

I don't really care one way or the other actually - you're probably right that that looks better. I just don't have anything better to do right now.
