I'm going to jump in with 12 years of University North Texas. It's 6 home and 6 away. We had to play A&M at their place twice for one visit to Ford. Hart negotiates 1 for 1. JJ won't be here 12 years from now so if JJ bullied Hart for this deal than Heat is really a weenie. If we win who cares. Even if we win 12 times, no big deal. But lose once.....

We lose by playing Montana State no matter what the score might be. If we win it is expected. If we lose it is a disaster. In the interim, we lose nearly 2 million $$$$ by not having the Baylor butts in Ford plus TV $$$$ and exposure.

To me, it's a must win game for JJ....he wanted out of playing another BCS opponent so he got his wish......if he loses, he might need to fall on his sword.......

If we lose to Montana State I expect June Jones to resign the following day. If not, then Hart needs to fire him on that Monday morning.

This thread reads like a broken record. Hart is not our biggest challenge. Must be a slow day on the Internet and Ponyfans.

Not June's style, he'll make every excuse under the sun for the loss (crowd, lights, weather, youth) and downplay it as "just another preseason game".

The really scary thing is that there are people on this board what would like to see us lose that game so they could unload (some more) on JJ.

At what point, with the season one month away, do we deal with the reality as fans? Our team is our team. Support them. At the end of the season this board can return to recruit-ripping, but now we need to focus on the business of putting in our best possible performances, from the team we have. We, as fans, gain nothing by holding this team accountable for its theoretical failure to be a team recruited by the ace recruiters craved by so many. It is how it performs against its own potential that matters.

Let's start by beating those layabouts from Lubbock

I don't think anyone has been holding the team to anything. They have been holding JJ to everything, riggtly so. Jones is gone after this year either way. Lets hope we make the best of it.

We are going to beat Montana St. We are going to be the more talented team (just like when we play a Big 12 school). Maybe only because we are playing them at home, where we really play better/more focused.

JJ Has lost a lot of the hardcore Pony Fans already - I don't think anyone wants us to lose this game just to hammer him some more. There will be plenty of 3rd & 1 (missed) bombs to get us riled up.

I prefer to look at the upcoming season as one giant opportunity right now. I haven't had one of my irrational 10-2 kind of thoughts yet, but those will start coming when I read Pride's traing camp reports.

Weren't the lights redone in the stadium per JJ's instructions?
