Doesn't matter if the fans overlook them, what matters is that June doesn't take the "preseason" all that seriously (6-14 OOC record at SMU). If we screw around like we normally do in these preseason games then we're likely to lose.

I completely agree and usually make fun of those who think that this message board impacts the team. I'm just saying that I don't think any smu fan will be counting that game as an automatic win

Texas state and sfa were both near losses. Nice that we stomped the fcs teams the last 2 years. That is how it should be.

Lets not forget we lost to Tulane last year, who was basically worse than most fcs teams...

SMU was 6-30 at that point under Phil Bennett with all 6 wins coming against teams with undefeated records at the end of their prospective seasons--combined 18-52 record--and the team scored 20 points or less in 27 of the 36 games.

I think it safe to say that SMU was basically at an FCS talent level when they played TCU.

Nah, MSU's Super Bowl this is being held this year just down the road from you in Frisco. The SMU game is more like the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl for Bobcats fans.
