Kudos to everyone who showed. I was on the field for part of the game, and it was LOUDER than many games this year (that had much larger attendance). UCF brought a fun and loud crowd, but you guys drowned them out.

If this ever happens again, though, we need to have PonyFans grab up all the seats directly behind the Mustang bench.

Well, as one who attends both SMU and TCU games, I have noticed that if you are in the Club level, can be inside eating and drinking, you somehow manage to get to the game. If you're not so blessed, then roads are too ice coated, or it's 101 in the shade, etc. Explanation?

i would gather all of the stadium club lives within a 10 mile radius of the stadium.

Are we really having an attendance discussion?

I made my way down to my seat on row 4 section 104 and was surprised to see so many people there and assumed it was because of the free entry to the game, but then I realized that besides the three other SMU fans who sit together with me at every game everyone else around us was a UCF fan. They would start their U-C-F chants and we would immediately start yelling S-M-U at the top of our lungs to try to counter their cheer. In a way it was fun, but basically I hated the fact they were allowed in our section and that our fans who have those seats didn't show up.

BTW my feet by the middle of the 3rd quarter were freezing, but I held out for the rest of the game. Damn I hate being cold!
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

It was sad to look up at your seats and see UCF fans there. We should have had dedicated areas for the "free" attendees and visiting team fans and kept sections in the middle reserved for SMU fans with tickets from any section and should have had staff there to check for tickets.

They don't keep them out in good weather, can't expect them to in bad. Just that in good weather we usually out number the bad guys.
