Interesting June tweetModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: Interesting June tweetreportedly caught 66 passes for 5.5 yard per catch. Can't be right it's so bad. Why would you throw the ball to a kid 66 times who only made 5.5 yards per catch

Re: Interesting June tweetMust have broken some tackles on those one yard outs June likes.

Re: Interesting June tweetHe was named Receiver MVP at what has been described as a watered down NUC combine recently but his 2014 verified track results in the 100, 200, Long Jump and Triple Jump are unremarkable-and I'm feeling extremely charitable. Well I'll reserve judgment some of those were in 2012 and 2013 but looks like he may just be running team relays this year. The NUC combine commentator says he needs to improve his speed but thinks he's a Division 1a prospect

Re: Interesting June tweetyeah those stats were not correct-
Myron Gailliard actually caught 20 passes for 244 yards and 2 touchdowns and rushed for 355 yards and 3 touchdowns on 66 carries "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

Re: Interesting June tweetThose numbers seem more plausible.
Interesting June tweet
4.86? Isn't that a little slow for a WR? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Re: Interesting June tweetSounds like he could be a "diamond in the rough"..........

Re: Interesting June tweet
I guess that's a matter of perception. If a successful program finds those types of kids and they turn out great, then the staff is called genius. If the kid is found because he has no other choices but SMU takes him and he does nothing, then the staff is panned unmercifully. The built bias for a staff pretty typically rules the thinking.
Re: Interesting June tweetI don't think that's bias, is it?

Re: Interesting June tweet
Sadly, this is true...
Re: Interesting June tweet
I understand that. But the statement holds true.
Re: Interesting June tweet
Nothing has changed. June is still going after the low hanging fruit and afraid to battle the big boys. Dallas Mavericks - 2011 NBA CHAMPIONS!
Long live the Circle of Champions!
Re: Interesting June tweet
Yes, that is why you linked to it in the first place. There is no way the staff would offer a WR who was a legit 4.86 at WR. He may not be the fastest guy in the world, but he was either injured or something when he ran that. Otherwise he wouldn't be anywhere near a track team.
Re: Interesting June tweetAt 5'9" he better be another Darren Sproles...otherwise it's wasted roster space. I almost feel recruits look at us more poorly now than when Bennett was coaching. How is it that we don't have under-recruited +6-ft receivers climbing over themselves to play in our much ballyhoo-ed aerial assault offense? Sad.
