I agree with ponyboy. A list of events over the last 100 years is not inconsistent with saying it was 100 years in the making. Big yawn, but not worth getting upset about.

This thread seems indicative of part of the problem with our fan base. I'm as underwhelmed as everyone else here, and it's interesting that they seem to be doing these chronologically, rather than in order of importance or impact. But why rant about it? Wouldn't it be easier to just shrug and ignore it?
