I agree it was somewhat unnecessary and I am sure it would have been a total beating for the students, but it's still the kind of thing the Mustang Band would always do.
If the excuse is they needed a day off, even with a holiday Monday, they probably should have rearranged the schedule late this week.
Very minor issue on the list of SMU worries right now though (which will likely grow in the next few hours).
