The plan that was shared to me involved a connection from the IPF to Ford on the northeast corner of Ford. I'm not sure what will happen to the coaches offices being renovated at the moment but the connection would include moving all coaches offices, training facilities, film room, etc. over to that corner of the stadium.
Back off Warchild seriously.

In fact, Morris received encouragement from numerous head coaches around the nation, including Auburn’s Malzahn, Arizona State’s Todd Graham, Clemson’s Dabo Swinney and Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin.

“That’s the job, Chad,” Morris said, relaying fellow coaches’ thoughts. “That’s the one.”

To this

Morris said peers, including mentor and friend Gus Malzahn, understood the promise of the program. In addition to Auburn's Malzahn, Arizona State's Todd Graham, Clemson's Dabo Swinney and Texas A&M's Kevin Sumlin were encouraging about the prospects at SMU.

"That's the job, Chad," Morris said, relaying fellow coaches' thoughts. "That's the one."

That is exactly my point. If they were both provided the quotes by the school (or by Morris), they would end up with substantially the same language in their story. In particular, the quotes should be the identical.

You are missing the point that EJ's article is explicitly just a rehash of the ESPN article which is why it has the same content and error. He did not get that directly from the school he copied it from the ESPN article he was summarizing.

The retweeter has continued to climb in the profession. That is the way the media game seems to work these days.

He is a blogger not a staff writer. At least he is blogging giving SMU some postitve press in the DMN when others there do not. I'll take whatever positive pub we can get right now.

The fact that we are not in the SEC does not mean that we were not in discussions with the SEC.

Frankly, I would bet that we have been in "serious negotiations" with just about every P5 conference. With all the chaos that realignment has caused (and will cause), I suspect all of the conferences (their TV partners) and schools like SMU, UH, BYU, Cinci, USF/UCF and Memphis have had "serious discussions."

Furthermore, I am 100% positive that we have had talks with a different P5 conference. Were they "serious?" I think that might depend upon who you were talking to.

What you are missing is the the non-quoted parts is almost word-for-word.
