The problem is, that when June played the "easy" school on our schedule in year 6 or whatever, we got demolished. What's the point of having an easy schedule when you can't even beat them?

A lower tier P5 team would be nice for that 2020 opening.

The issue with your statement is that 2020 is 5 years away. How do we know who and who isn't going to be a lower tier P5 team? We scheduled Baylor and TAMU when they weren't playing well and then got to play them when they were ranked. Our luck just sucks.

Not only that, but when we scheduled TTech & OkSt during the past 10 years, they were also playing at very high level.

Having said that, I'd like to see Chad book us with the right ACC team.
I would completely trust his judgment as to whom.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

2020 - we need a low ACC team or handy or northwestern. Or USC.

If you think about it, EVERYTHING actually did start going downhill right after faterson said he was going to stop helping us, so maybe he did, and then, well you know the rest.
