SMU @ Oklahoma game threadModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game threadLashlee figuring early that if he doesn't play aggressively and gamble that SMU has no chance of winning a slugfest with OU. Our guys have to make plays and just too many hurries and drops at this point. If OU runs another tempo series and scores 7 more here, this could get out of hand
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game threadMaryland really not great today. Drops and holds...

Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game threadThe play calling on the offense has been absolutely disastrous.
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game threadFG doesn’t matter. That wouldn’t make a bit of difference
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game threadNot sure I agree when they we are gonna pass the coverage is too good. If we don't keep mixing it up I don't think we have the receivers to pull it off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk GO Ponies!!!!
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game threadInteresting that we used to have a poor defense but a good offense. Now the reverse.
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game threadWhen it’s third and 9, the goal should be to try to pick up a first down with two downs, or make the field goal a bit more achievable. Instead, we get nothing.
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game thread
We have three points, and it’s not because OU has a dominant defense. They do not.
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game threadWell espn+ halftime was horrible. They love ou.
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game thread
I don’t understand why we didn’t throw it to the end zone before halftime. We need points and shouldn’t have just worked to try a FG.
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game thread
It is an OU production
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game threadGiven the competition…. Defense = A-…Offense = C-…Special Teams= D. I really liked Lashlee’s decision to pooch punt vs go for it….that is maturity as a head coach from year 1 to year 2. That said…I had zero confidence Rogers would make that FG and that was a better opportunity to go for the first down. Definitely a different type of game than I expected but overall I like what I’m seeing for the rest of the season.
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game threadNow comes the coaching test...who makes the better adjustments in the 2nd half? We get the ball and really need points off an opening drive to make a statement
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game threadPlease, big money men, buy us a place kicker!
Re: SMU @ Oklahoma game threadWonder whether Cam Wheaton gets any carries in the 2nd half?
