Isn't that what Schuman used to play against them that was so effective? We have the depth at DL to pull it off. Play a 5-2-4 with Scott as the extra DE instead of Star and play Onu as the opposite side safety to provide contain on the other side.

3rd bomb over a flat footed Navy CB. Sutton/Quinn/Proche are better. But we may only get 6-7 possessions if Defense can't get off the field

31-13 Temple
You know I wonder if SMU could sneak Kemon Freeman in at TE and throw to him deep-they'd never expect us to throw to a TE

You know what, I think we can beat Navy. In fact, I think we’re gonna run through them like sh*t through a tin horn!

I agree. This one will come down to offensive mistakes as neither defense will have a prayer of stopping the other offense.

What if we get Onu to run to the line, scream “ALL OUT!” to incite fear in the Navy line, then send all our players except the DBs at their QB in a blitz? Has to work, right?!

Navy doesn't have a great defensive backfield. I have no doubt we can score on them if we can pull our acts together. Stallion wrote:31-13 Temple

I'm shocked we haven't tried something like that earlier, considering our current TE's don't seem to be all that field-worthy.

I think when Morris was at Tulsa they used to have FB Charles Clay(?) that used to lineup at TE sometimes-he made a huge play in closing minutes by catching a 40 yard catch against us that basically clinched the game. They did it all year because LBs couldn't catch him. I still say we haven't seen the full playbook based on what he did at Tulsa and Clemson. Clay and Freeman are similar athletes. Might just see some wrinkles this week

Abey might have been concussed. I think he hit his head and he was walking wobbly.

They started slow last year too but were torrid for about 4 games in October/November then trailed off late again-lost to Temple, Army and Louisiana Tech late

We should be able to pass vertically on them...but we will have to RUN the ball too. Temple has had a decent scheme on both sides of the ball, and with athletes that are comparable to ours.
Should be a game, until our DEs get carted off...
