Wow, Tulsa had 600 yds total offense or close. We need some athletes on D in the biggest way. Nice effort as a team, though.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

We had plenty of breaks. We lost it ourselve. Some failure of coaching to call critical TOs on the last TU TD, stupid critical penalties and dropped passes by Beasley and Robinson. We simply beat ourselves.

We got better tonight, especially on offense. Proud of the effort.

Things are coming together. I'm sick about the loss but we would have been killed if we played them earlier in the season. I am encouraged.

The yardage given up looks bad, but the defense did play with a lot of heart despite being so undermanned.

We really did show improvement on offense and that is the good news. We can now score and things seem to be settling down with BLM. For the most part the O seemed in sync. and confident. Still, dropped passes hurt. D is still very shakey giving up huge chunks of the field starting with 3 minutes left in 2d. Several key potiential interceptions during TU scoring drives were dropped. Improvement, yes. Opportunity to really make strides with a win were lost.

Those weren't bad calls...good execution just dropped the passes. losing chris butler to injury hurt what was an effective running game. what happened to him? he was on crutches the second half...I was at the game and haven't seen this entire thread.

got hurt on one of his runs - looks like a twisted knee - too bad since he was dominating.

Not sure with Martin running so hard I would have not gone for the run on 3rd and 2 with one minute left and the game on the line - I dont get that call - Guess if we execute the catch it looks pretty smart - but i'm scratching my head given our success on the ground up to that point.

This season can't end fast enough...please go get some JUCO thugs so I don't have to watch high school football 2 nights in a row every weekend.

I would like to send a shout out to Mr. PA Announcer Man who made it a point to let us know that Bo had not thrown a pick. 2 possessions later, Bo threw a pick.

I hate karma.

That's the Run and Shoot. If the pass isn't dropped, it works. I liked it.
