I say give Zach Line the ball 25-30 times a game. Turn the QB into a hand off machine and let's ride the #1 fullback prospect in the upcoming NFL Draft to the next level. A great coach is not measured by how great a system he has, a great coach is measured by how effective he is at changing his scheme to match the personnel. I would rather watch SMU Run than keep on Shooting themselves in the foot.

And we did win tonight and beat a conference opponent that we had lost 4 of the last 5 games to.

NWS and Memphis is as much time as either is going to get assuming KP even gets another chance to redeem himself. TCU is in three weeks or is that gonna be another qb pull and we just toss the third guy in.

well, the offense has not looked this bad EVER as it did tonight. NO points in the second half. Say what you want, this team went to the CUSA champ game last year, it wasn't like Kyle didnt compete. And did you see the ECU game? Would say KP looked pretty good that day.

It looked worse at the Armed Forces Bowl last year. As bad as UTEP's DBs are, Army's were worse...and we still did nothing in the first half and only 14 points in the 2nd half.

Is the ECU game the only game you can name out of 14 games last year? If we put Kyle back in and he does not do well then what do we do, just curious?

Line is great, but I am not sure our O-line is currently built to deliver that at full speed for four quarters.

Army was ugly, but dont think we could run the ball that day. This was about as ugly, we just ran the ball a little better today. It really doesnt matter because KP aint gonna get another chance from June. That was obvious tonight...sending him in as the designated runner.

Easter Washington should have an opening next year.

Just saying it was near the end of last season if we are talking about recent history. Kyle played tough against TCU, got the sh*t beat out of him. Sorry but Kyle has alot more presence on the field as a leader and competitor than McD. Tonight was depressing.

Sounds good but we've seen Jones adapt as much as he's going to. You want full blown adaption to personnel then we're going to need a brand new head coach.

I hear you but what do we do if Kyle is not the answer?

Line vs. Army: 17 carries, 103 yards, 6.1 yards per carry

Similar to tonight

What happens if it becomes clear if neither are the answer?

Then we may not go to a bowl game or one of the 2 other qb's step up. What would you say?

don't think so. JJ is so stubborn that KP is not gonna get a chance to redeem himself. He'll come in and do the Justin Willis designed scramble thing i guess and probably transfer to SAm Houston State for his senior year and we'll see him in the NFL next time we see him.

Wouldn't blame him, he'd look like a star down in FCS or DII running a simpler offense against worse competition.
