Terrible season, but I don't think KP is going to get a chance to redeem himself as long as McD plays mediocre football at worst and next year will be really interesting with KP jumping ship for FCS if things continue this way. Also why does every one on the forum double and even triple quote? Take a second and clean up your quotes people.

Not very impressive. The offensive genius is averaging 17.5 points a game. Two games in a row that we're shut out in the second half. If JJMc is the answer, I don't want to know the question. You bench a 4000 yard passer because of 2 picks against the 8th ranked team in the country who had all off season and fall camp to game plan against for a guy who has started a game since 2007? Then genius says both will play against UTEP. I'm sorry 2 plays isn't really playing. Not impressed with the offensive genius. Give the reins to what took you to 2 bowl games and a conference championship. For those claiming KP didn't play well in 2010, need I remind you of Wash St (4 td s passing and 1 rushing), Tulsa 381 yards against a team that went 10-3, Rice 383 yards and Conf USA player of the week, ECU 340, 3 tds while playing injured, Tulane 300+ and another rushing td, 300 against Houston, 300 against Army. Playing KP for 6 plays in 2 games is nothing but a mind game on the genius' part. This will be the last year for both KP and JJMc. Count on it. Enjoy next year with a totally new offensive line and 2 inexperienced QBs. The genius will probably go back to Hawaii. Not soon enough if you ask me.

I agree. Padron still gives us the best chance to win. JJ is a good backup in case Padron goes down, but come on now, Padron needs at least a shot vs. NW St to prove he's still got it. Start him. if he's nervous/still looks shaky, play McDermott.

Padron didn't play that well in 2010, his decision making got worse as the season progressed. It's his fault Jones has lost confidence in him. I'd like to see him get some real series in the NW State and Memphis games to see if he has anything left but I wouldn't be surprised if he never regains the starting QB job. He just doesn't make decisions quickly enough to run the R&S at a high level on a consistent basis.

It needs to be Padron cause the run n shoot hasn't truly shown to be prolific at SMU. Quick reads or not, you need legs vs the better teams. A&M ate JJ for 6 sacks, TCU will do the same. Jones needs to get this situation righted b/c despite the win last night, he's doing a poor job right now. Crushed on national TV, gets on back on TV, gets a W, but scrapes by vs an awful team. If you agreed this team had promise before the year, you don't flip the script based on two early INTs at Kyle Field. It's knee jerk garbage that has everyone questioning themselves other than June

Padron doesn't have legs, he got eaten up a lot last year because he held onto the ball too long and when he wasn't taking all day he was tossing up ducks into double coverage.

I don't think 31 tds vs 14 int is a bad ratio. It's better than McD's 1-1 ratio.
