They were saying on CSTV that UH's coach made a special request of students to go to the game. I don't think Phil will have a problem getting the greeks there for the game (since it's homecoming and all), but this sounds like a decent idea. Phil needs to get out in whatever form of media the students will listen and request that they all come to the game and stay until the very end. Don't leave at halftime, as is common with most people on homecoming day.

Houston's win today sets SMU up to win out and really prove this program has turned the corner. Not saying it will happen, but the opportunity is there and anyone who calls him/herself a fan of SMU football should be at the game next Saturday. Talk it up everybody, because there are a lot of people out there who still don't realize the significance of this game

CP, you've been here a while. So, I am a bit surprised at the level of excitement in your post. I hope that scenario happens, but I've been subscribed to the jt philosophy since NTSU. Because of your history (and name), if SMU goes 6-6 and gets snubbed by the bowls (which a monkey could predict), I'm going to refer to you from now on as "Charlie Brown Pony."

I was at Snuffers feeding two kids by myself but it sure looked to me that Russell fumbled that ball on that last drive. Why wasn't that reviewed?

So I am hoping for some sort of discounted ticket(I know I am cheap) so I can invite my Mini Mustangs to the game on the 11th. I might be able to get 14 kids plus parents there. One reason for the cheap tickets is that I have multiple parents on the team that are not so well off. $22 for a mom and her son to come to a game is a pretty big deal for them. I will also insist on their Mustang uniforms and I will even invite our Mini Mustang cheerleaders as well. Anyone know if I could get them on the field to run out with the team?

Check with the athletic department to see if you can get a group discount and perhaps a chance to get on the field. Bob Sharp with the Mustang Club (214-768-4001) may be able to help you get to the right person in the AD's office.

I think this is going to be a pretty big crowd this week. 20+ easily maybe even higher than that. Mustang Mania is back! I'll be on the boulevard around noon or so. Where is the ponyfans tent going to be?
