Well one of us just posted above that a "good" coach could have coached up our players and won CUSA titles....sounds kind of stupid to me....

All those schools beat us with precisely the players we can't get into school. They are difference makers. We're not even bringing up the 8-10 Division 1A transfers UH has run through that program in the last few years. Open your eyes and learn. Stallion, shut the hell up! I live in Denton, Tx and watched JWills Denton Ryan Raiders beat the hell out of Aldridge and Denton High for years. There is no way this kid could have gotten into SMU if he would take any test 1000 times. Where the hell are you people getting this [deleted] info? Do you want me to fax you his report cards for all of HS years? He is a great athlete, but he could not get into our institution of higher learning because he is a football player going to school, not a student playing football. Please get your facts straight and stop trying to [deleted] people on stuff you know nothing about. I will give you his phone number and you can call and ask Aldridge?

This the cheapest shot I've ever seen taken on a message board. Quick is actually a student playing football and is on course to graduate. Whether he could have gotten into SMU is irrelevant, you never recruited him. If you had, he would be on schedule to graduate there.
If you have his report cards, go ahead and fax them to whoever enforces the FERPA laws.

One more thing, if you're going to bust on a kid's intellect, you should learn to spell his name right.

Can you get me a lost of Justin's girlfriends too?

Not that close. Have to talk to JWills dad, get his number, tell him what the deal is, get A's # and get it to you and you can ask him for yourself. SMU to hard to get into for most athletes. We do get a few, but a few not enough to win! Remind me in post because I work for a living and will forget. Should I get the numbers of the starting WR at Baylor, Justin Fenty, running back at Mizzo, Earl Goldsmith, starting corner at Hawaii, Myron Newberry, who went to JC in Athens (?), Derrick Lokey at UT, Brian Smith formerly of Mizzo, Jarvis Moss formerly at Florida. Where does it end? This is institutional [deleted] and stop trying to make it a coaching issue! Start making all your post to Turner and the Board please! These are only a few of the metroplex players we could have. What is the real deal? Is it a black thing or a grade thing?

You are the one who spouted off that you could get us Alridge's number and report card. Now it's let me ask someone, to ask someone, who knows someone, who knows Alridge.

You sir have no credibility. You also have very little if any knowledge about the game if you can't see that this team was poorly coached.

Hey BigDaddy-have you not figured out we are making the same argument.yet? I'm using English-so what's so hard to decipher? This thread says it all. Most of you are simply happy to continue losing for years and years to come. You complain about getting beat but refuse to put the pressure on the administration to make the changes necessary to get the same profile of athletes that have beat us for 20 years. This thread explains all I need why I'm not interested in joining the Mustang Club-just a bunch of kiss-ass Cheerleaders that are not willing to stand up for a strong athletic program. You can not intelligently [deleted] about getting beat by UTEP, TCU, UH, Tulsa, Southern Miss, ECU, UAB, Marshall, UCF, Texas Tech, Baylor without understanding that they admit the profile of players SMU does not and that they are the difference in many cases between winning and losing. I encourage all Mustang Club members to stop all donations to the Mustang Club until this issue is resolved. Just cut them off.

Sam is a graduate student at UTEP (couldn't tell what his major was). He graduated last year. Didn't say what his degree was in, but we have to assume that he would have had transferability of hours issues at SMU. So, with Sam Stallion might have a point, that we were handicapped by having transferability issues (if we even recruited him). Jackson transferred from Oregon, and is a multi-disciplinary studies major whatever that is, but it sounds like a liberal arts degree. Which would say to me that he shouldn't have had that big a problem transferring credits to SMU unless of course his credits were in such arcane things as native american pottery and baskets, which we don't know. So, did Bennett try to recruit him? Again, we don't know that. Perhaps the kid likes Juarez, or perhaps he had transferability of credits issues. Another issue might be whether for example UTEP accepts "D" grades for transfer and SMU does not. I don't know if that is the case for any particular player or if that is UTEP's policy. I know that's SMU's policy. With these two particular examples by Stallion, we don't know if they were recruited, if they were denied admission, or if they even tried to come here.

AA just said on 1560 The Game that SMU never recruited him. He did say that a lot of schools recruited him including TCU, but TCU only recruited him to run track. So, I guess it is Phil's word against AA's word.

PB has forgotten more about recruiting than the people he recruited. Or didn't. :?

Wade Koehl had a pretty good game against y'all last year. I guess Bennett recruited him but couldn't get him into school either since he only had a 1500 on the SAT.

Probably couldn't get our committ Robert Griffin past the past the admissions Nazi's there, despite the fact that Stanford offered him.
