Gailey would of course be an improvement over Bennett and Orsini does have GT connections (that is how he bagged O'Leary for UCF). Gailey is a former Cowboy coach and that would give him some credibility when he went to living rooms in the Metroplex. On the other hand the ACC is not the SEC, or Big XII or Big Ten in strength. He was always in the middle of the pack there. We could do worse, but I would rather have an SOB like Barnett or if you want ex-NFL Schottenheimer with a track record of turning things around than a nice guy who had moderate success. Might as well hire Norvel Turner if you want that.

Exactly. Why is it so hard to understand that if he had won conference championships at GT, he'd likely still be there (though not beating GA would still be a problem). But in any instance, if he won conference championships in a BCS conference, he would not be interested in coming to the cellar dweller in a non-BCS conference.
