Young is a great runner, but a very mediocre passer. Not even in the top half of NFL QBs. TN will be better off this week if Collins is playing.
Exactly. He's 26th in QB rating. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats? ... onType=REG
And even after that useless stat, there's 14 qb's (by my quick, unchecked count) that are sitting at home because their team didn't make the playoffs. Funny how that works.
His team made the playoffs in spite of him - not because of him.
ok, you're right.

ive always wanted to make this comparison so ill do it now on PFs
Pat White is the pocket version of Vince Young...not as big, not as powering, doesnt have the arm like VY has but man, he sure can rack up some yards and take control of a game like VY does.
But he has triple the IQ....and he'll actually earn a gagree.
What's a gagree? Sorry, Pat White is no Vince Young. VY had 200 yards on the ground alone in the MNC game (accounting for 450+). When White does that then I might become impressed.
Well the rest of us call it a degree...but VY calls it a gagree.
Vince: "me fail English? that's unpossible!!"

He single handedly won the NC for you with the worst OC in America. We have to give you that, but he's an awful Pro. The reason they are in the playoffs is because the Colts didn't play the second half and neither did VY.

It has to do with college football. Are you implying that SMU has nothing to do with college football?

No. It's very relevant to college football, and there are boards for UT and WVU that undoubtedly would engage in spirited discussions about these guys. Get one of them to transfer here, and it will matter to SMU.
Sorry - just grouchy about the coach thing.

On this we can agree. I didn't know every post on the board had to be related to SMU. I guess we should go back to that very interesting/productive Secret Coach post.

As I heard on Houston Radio one day, VY takes 4.5 seconds to run the 40 and 45 minutes to throw for 40
