I definitely think at the very least, you guys will double your wins. This is what is really going to get everyone's attention- I'm betting SMU covers every spread this coming season. Undefeated against the spread in JJ's first year there. :D

Mister V - Good to know about the spread - I am on my way to vegas I hope to see you there.

If our friends from Hawaii have such great faith in JJ then so will I. 7 games and at least 6 - sorry JT. If we win less than 6 I will be ok with it because we have a coach with vision and confidence.

Our SMU bad karma will slightly offset the greatness of JJ in his first year. The SMU football demons will be fully expelled by JJ in year 2.

We will win. I have no doubt. How many games we will win how quickly is a prickly subject, and of course, pure conjecture.

But even the press is beginning to recognize that we coul dbe back on the bowl scene next year.

I've said it before, and somewhere today I read it in some press coverage. SMU was not 6 games away from a blow in terms of ability. We found ways to lose games becasue the coach ing was not up to par. We were not prepared, even when we knew exactly what we were getting into. Games after game we were getting pummelled by our own inability to cope with the obvious, repetitive strategies of other, mediocre teams.

With JJ, this will NOT happen. Form the second the ball is kicked off, our kids are going to be ready.

Are ya'll really doing this thread again? Raising false hopes if you think you can win more than 5 games. Take the red and blue blinders off your eyes and WAKE UP! 2-10. 100% improvement over the previous year.

Our defense is not that good yet. No safety.

I still say we at least double last year's performance.

I am definitely longing for more wins than that.

Double digit wins (including post season).

Other than that I have no expectations. ;)
