"The doom & gloom platoon will return "
I have got to admit, that's pretty funny.

Rice had the 117th passing defense in the country!

Much safer to drink and fly rather than drink and drive!!
Not to mention that over the past several years that drive home from Houston has been really long after the results on the field (especially the drive home after the 2006 game). I'm not saying it will be that way this year, but I like to hedge my bets.

This is going to be a different year. It's going to be a fun ride home unlike two years ago when I felt like I had lost a family member. First and goal from the one twice!!

Right there with ya - that drive home in 2006 was the longest drive I ever made - I felt like I was driving to Wichita. The drive home in 1998 wasn't much better (OT loss). But what should we expect? We haven't beaten Rice in Houston in 22 years (1986 was the last time - that game was a season opener, too.).

The Mustangs are overdue! The writing is on the wall. C'mon, 'Stangs! Start the JJ Era off the right way with a big 'W' in Houston!

something I just realized: I registered my youngest for kindergarten today. School starts that week. He gets out at 2:45. Someone who has made the drive before, answer me this: how long does it take to drive from Plano to Rice Stadium?
This really sucks...may be an ESPN night.
