This discussion has gone in the wrong direction…let me help fix it.

At what $ amount are you OK with the new Mustang.

Can’t believe anyone would be put Peruna out to pasture for else than $10M.

Given the fact that our endowment was $1.2B last year and probably dropped $250M, I would not entertain any offers under $25M…. and even then I would feel like a complete sell-out.

Maybe, just maybe, Peruna is PRICELESS.

I think this is the first step to phasing out the Shetland Pony. What happens when our current Peruna is retired? Since they already have a "Mustang" why not just us it and not the Shetland Pony.

So, we decided to go back to the traditional colors but don't use the correct colors. Now we are going to start phasing out Peruna. What's next phase out the band and just use, recorded music?

If it truly is a mustang, how do they expect to control it?

Don't be surprised if you see some major changes in the marching band in the next couple of years.....

What is the Big Horse going to do with "Third Down Thunder"

"Third Down Thunder" will probably be its name.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Just "Thunder" (leave off the third down).

I might be OK with it at the price of $5 billion.

No not really. Poor Peruna will probably finish out her days as official Equestrian team mascot
