Well I view Whoo Pig Sooie, plastic pig hats, yell practice led by gay milkmen, worshipping a dog who looks like Lassie, rubbing a rock before games, hotty totty gosh almighty cheers, rammer jammer cheers, a sedated cow who does nothing but poop on camera, grown men shaking pom poms in the stands, fringed uniforms, etc. as "comical at best" too. But they don't give a crap about what other people think because those are their traditions -- they learn them, they respect them, they participate in them, and they defend them. And that's the problem with SMU, we're so worried whether other people think that our mascot is "cool" that we think having a bigger "real trained Mustang" is going to make us feel better, and can finally make us feel "proud" of ourselves. So we're willing to abandon one of our few traditions in what has got to be the most ridiculous case of p*nis envy of all time. Peruna is MY mascot. By the way somebody go tell Eric, Craig, and Lance that they should abandon "the Pony Express" because other people thinks it makes them sound like wimps.

Het Stallion what does it matter how many post someone posts? Are you proud of your post number as being a badge of Stangdom? Is that how YOU measure your bad self? ....who friggin cares how many posts someone does? Maybe they are just as ardent as you but didn't feel the need before to post and maybe they may be older than you and just figured out how to post .....we are not measured by how many posts we have charted...we should be just glad to have more feedback....You are so awesome to have 16,000 posts....way off the chart...your Mom should be proud.....'My son has over 16,000 posts on Ponyfans.com'....oh damn I am so not worthy I only have 280 posts....don't listen to me...wait until I hit 300, THEN maybe.........

Everyone knows you are a shill for the athletic department/June Jones. Every time there is a new coach 4 or 5 posters who were complete athletic department cheerleaders disappear and new ones pop up. It is obvious.

Saying people outside of SMU laugh at our mascot is absurd, whoever is claiming this obviously has a hidden agenda....
Well put DiamondM.

Couch Em....wow a shill for JJ? Thanks for the honor...no I am just a goofball that now has more time than I would like ( real estate sucks I know) who now has not only the time but the inclination to do so as well. Damn I still don't know how to cut and paste this stuff but I at least can still voice just as well as you guys but don't hammer us newbies because we don't have as many posts...is not about 'posting envy' is it? mine is bigger than yours etc.? I would win that one anyway....

Here is the Guitar Tab
Sung to the tune of "Horse with no Name"
Em ------ D9/6 ------ Em9 ------ Dmaj9 ------
Em D9/6 On the first part of the journey I was looking at all the life There were tents and birds and grass and things There was beer and food and toss rings The first thing I met was a Phi with a buzz And the sky with no clouds The heat was hot and the ground was dry But the air was full of sound
Em9 Dmaj9 I've been to the game with a horse with no balls It felt good to get out with a win. On the Boulevard no one can remember your name 'Cause there ain't no one that is feeling no pain La, la ...
Em D9/6 After two hours in the Texas sun My skin began to turn red After three hours of Red and Blue fun I was looking for a river bed in a rush And the story it told of a river that flowed Made me sad to think it does not flush
Em9 Dmaj9 Chorus
Em D9/6 After nine, I let the horse run free 'Cause cause Peruna came back to see. There were tents and birds and grass and things There was beer and food and toss rings The Boulevard is an Oasis with SMU life all around, And a perfect sky above In the cities lies a heart made of gold And the humans will give him much love.
Em9 Dmaj9 Chorus
