You really think a team physician who also has a teaching background in sports medicine would be lazy on the sideline? We have the market cornered on d-baggery on the hilltop and it still wouldn't excuse such behavior. I can't even imagine doh, in all his foot stomping carnation wearing glory calling out the team doc like that on the sideline.
The doc clearly thought he was more important than he is. GP never questioned the injure. He was pissed because his "O" unit didnt get a status report. It actually affects play calling. No?GP made it clear that is unacceptable. The guy needed to communicate to the staff. We have 4 great backs with varying abilities. Find where the Doc said GP demanded EW go back in the game and then smack about it. Didnt happen.

Wow, blaming the doctor to protect your untouchable coach who just can't be blamed. Yep, TCU has their talking points out for damage control. I guess they are hitting other message boards as well. Unbelieveable.

You're funny. Dr. Haraldson told amednews.com that he "was verbally accosted by the coach, screaming at me insanely at the top of his lungs that he doesn't think [Wesley] has a concussion and what right do I have to hold him out."

I am trying to figure out which one I will enjoy more
1. Republicans sweeping both houses of Congress 2. Colorado hiring away Sweaty Patterson.

have you ever actually gone to a college football or nfl game or watched one on tv? When a starter gets hurt, what happens? The sideline reporter says "I was just talking to the medical team about so and so and they're watching him for a ..." This game was on ESPN. It's not like the doc went and hid. Not to mention, GP waddled all the way across the field to look at his player laying on his back. There's no coach in football who would NOT know or care to ask how his starter is if he's concerned at all. When Mestengo and I were on the sideline for SMU-Tulsa, we learned all about the Tulsa player who had a high ankle sprain and wasnt coming back from..get this...the Time f ing Warner sideline reporter. You think ESPN would have someone just as informed? As for "the doc acting like he's more important than he is," remind me again who it was that said "I'll fire your f ing [deleted]?" No, the doc wasnt acting like he was more important than he is (admittedly I'm basing this on what I've read and common sense). But, not to go Nathan Jessup on you, but the doc is used to making decisions that save lives. He makes the call or people die. GP may not like it, but oh well.

Patterson will not go to Colorado because he has it too good and easy at TCU.

http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=571155 ... id=2564308This was posted on ESPN's web page today. As I remember this was the play where the SMU medical staff ran out onto the field immediately after the hit and imoblized his head.

This is the kind of nano-particle scrutiny that they should have been anticipating. TCU's PR department needs to start poring over game footage, and quickly (if they have not already) so they can be prepared with statements left and right to explain GP's every little outburst. Otherwise, they'll be drowning in speculative controversy for the rest of the season. And it'll only get worse the more they win. Comes with the territory, folks.
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.

When you say something like this regarding a young in which parents have given you trust over it's no nano nothing. He deserves it. Patterson is just revealing what he really is.
On the day after the game, Patterson said: "As far as I'm concerned [Wesley] was fine 10 minutes after he was hurt."

Not saying the incident was insignificant - I'm saying the reaction in the media was to drill down as far as they possibly could, as they are so good at doing. My point was that TCU's PR department better be prepared for lots more of the same. Fortunately for Wesley, GP wasn't the doctor.

I think TCU has already started the spin control just by reading the 2 frog posters that have posted on this thread.

Yep. They are apparently willing to blatantly lie: froglicious wrote: GP never questioned the injure.

uhh, in the situation that involves the welfare of the life/health/condition of the player involved, the physician IS the most important person involved. one other thing...don't care much for your attitude shared earlier re. a post by 'soccermom'. You are welcome to your opinion about the merit of a post, but your comment was beneath your standing. Poor fare regardless of your university support or affiliation.

it sounds like the froggie posters are from their AD office. or, are unnamed extensions of the coaching staff.
