Look, TCU should be applauded for its success on the football field. Without question they have blazed the trail for the rest of the non-BCS schools to follow. However, if you really think TCU is held in the same regard academically as SMU then you are smoking some serious dope. Every credible ranking service has SMU substantially higher than TCU. Also, SMU is in the throws of its largest fundraising campaign in its history which will only strengthen our prestige and programs. In the next ten years I think it is very realistic that SMU is ranked in the Top 30 universities in the country behind Rice and ahead of The University of Texas. The amount of money, facilities, resources, and construction going on at SMU is mindblowing. It is nowhere near the same campus that I walked around in 2002-2006. TCU has been, is, and always will be, the little sister school in FW.

Where did I say that ESPN chose Fort Worth because of TCU? I said that them choosing Fort Worth shows that it's not the despicable, ugly, redneck town that you all are portraying it to be and that Dallas is not in this other stratosphere that you seem to portray it to be.

And yes I know that the reason TCU was originally scheduled to have the AFC team practice there is because of the Indoor practice facility.

It's still good coverage.

While SMU does have better academics, there is more to the university than just academic ratings. There is also more than athletics. It's the whole package and in this debate that's gone on for months dating back to the week of the SMU-TCU game when you all brought up the debate about yellow brick buildings, all SMU fans focus on is architecture and newspaper articles since they can't even talk about being better athletically. However TCU does have parts of the academics that are known to be better than SMU.

As for the buildings all I can point out is the new ones on TCU's campus, not debate the outside look since that's people's preference. We can debate application numbers or tuition. Bottom line is SMU is in no way heads and above TCU. I think TCU has the more complete package personally, but I put stock into the new facilities and PR exposure that we've gotten that you guys don't. That's your opinion NOT RIGHT OR WRONG, just your opinion.

Difference between may and fall of 2010 is prob. 15% returns and 300 mil in capital campaign...SPX returned 15% in that time period, so if anything I could be understating returns...

Cant argue regarding Joe T's. Fun spot but the food is meh. Down town FT Worth is safe and offers everything on a night or day out. Food, bars, arts, etc. If you head down town Dallas you need to make sure your Will is in order. Ft Worth doesnt have an "Uptown" because it doesn't need it. Uptown was created to get away from the squalor of DT Dallas. Our Downtown works. Dallas' downtown is basically just a place to catch a bus after work.

As a recent National piece suggested leading up to the Rose Bowl: "FT Worth can best be described as Dallas' more refined cousin". We like that. You like bluster.

Anyway, it is funny that you crie about TCU fans posting here and tell us all to go back to our own board. Yet, it takes you approx a nano second to respond to every TCU poster and you post in every thread involving TCU. Whatever would you do without us Nick?

Second, I live in Chicago and don't think that highly of Dallas, but after visiting Ft. Worth for the second time, I came to the conclusion that the place is a dump...sorry...
