I have not heard anything about not being able to kick except for ponyfan panic posts. I do think we are hurting at punter since Jones said he wants Loftus to concentrate on kickoff and place kicking. But I would bet it works itself out.

My apologies to those that wish to continue to panic. You may resume.

Kicking Game

I just do what June tells me to. When he said he was worried about our kicking game, I got worried.

Man, we're jumping the gun here. We don't know who has made how many kicks, and already people are burying the guy? Frank Gansz, Sr. recruited him, so I believe there's talent there. Let's see what Frank Gansz, Jr., can do with it.

Okay...he's had plenty of time on campus to show something...anything...not like he showed up yesterday. Hopefully Mr. Gansz can break through.

Kickers are like every other player that takes a break in the off season. They need some time to get in shape and get in sync. Now, again, if we do not have a punter then we do have an issue with which to contend. But it is not like we need to just give up if we have a 4th and 10 on the opposing team's 25 yard line. We just might be able to kick a field goal.

Folks are worried for two reasons:
1) Jones expressed concern.
2) Anyone who watched us punt and kick in the Spring knows whats up.

It just started too late in the process. It was a pie in the sky offer. I have no idea about next year.

We looked a little better today, at least our field goal attempts, weren't blocked by our center. Pony Up!
