you may be onto something. when i went by, i could see one bank of the "old" ones on, but it appeared to be only the top third of that bank. maybe those are the higher ones of which you speak?

it did look like they were doing something with the old poles, though-which i assumed was removal-as the black fence had been taken down and crates were laid for them to drive heavy equipment on leading right up to the older poles

If one goes to the Manhattancontructiongroup.com site and hit project camera for the George W. Bush Library, one can zoom in and see the height and location of the lights, both on the new poles and on top the west side structure.

Yeah, you can see the ones that are turned on have been placed on top of the original poles. I guess these will all create a more even lighting.

Nice find.

SMU's goal is to reduce the total number of light fixtures at Ford Stadium from 400 to 220, distributed on the sidelines rather than clustered on four poles.

SMU is adding four poles on the East side of the stadium at 120 feet each, shorter than the existing poles of 140 feet. It will balance out the lighting, SMU says. Donors are paying for the upgrades.

We may need to look into a Political Action Committe(PAC) to get whatever we need from University Park to expand the Stadium in any way we want
