Did he actually line up as a player? I thought he just got in the huddle and then got arrested. Am I forgetting?
Re: That Nevada helmet looked comfy, so....I recall him lining up as an LB or CB

Re: That Nevada helmet looked comfy, so....I think he ran up as the huddle was breaking; he got in a LB position but really nobody was fooled that he was a player
Re: That Nevada helmet looked comfy, so....
Are there any Video clips of this incident available? It sounds like something I would enjoy seeing. For example, I make sure to watch the Youtube clip of the SMU cheerleader kicking the Corp dude's ... Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: That Nevada helmet looked comfy, so....We need to bribe the video coordinator to dig through the vaults.
Re: That Nevada helmet looked comfy, so....I could have sworn that someone on here posted a video of the helmet incident. Can't find it.
Re: That Nevada helmet looked comfy, so....I saw it in person, but I've never actually seen video of the incident.

Re: That Nevada helmet looked comfy, so....I have not seen a video but the actual person who performed the act posted about it here a while back. He "Paul Harveyed" it and gave us the rest of the story including the night in jail. It is a good read if someone can search it out.

Re: That Nevada helmet looked comfy, so....In the DC article, a couple of things stand out to me:
"On the Mustangs’ next drive, Eckert completed four straight passes, but then was sacked and after two attempted passes into the end zone to wide receiver Reynaldo Pellerin, SMU settled for a touchdown to take a 10-3 lead." How do you "settle" for a touchdown? It the best you can do. Were they hoping for a mythical 10 point play or something? "After Nevada was forced to punt, backup quarterback Jerad Romo took over for Eckert. After marching the offense, to the Nevada 6-yard line, Eckert’s pass was intercepted on third-and-goal." So Romo took over for Eckert, and then Eckert threw a pick? This makes no sense. Derail the Frogs!
