"Must win" game for SMU since we dropped Baylor to give JJ an easier non-conference schedule..........

Monmouth U out of NJ is your "Goldrush" game? I hope you stomp 'em and both teams come in 1-0.

Who are MSU's key players?

Thank you! Pulling for SMU in your first game as well.

Our key players would be:

Denarius Mcghee QB
Cody Kirk RB
Tanner Bleskin WR
Tanner Roderick WR
Sean Johnson RB

I think you'll be seeing a LOT of these guys that day.

Apparently they don't play defense. That should be fun

I'm highly over-caffeinated and forgot...

Our defensive line should be great as should our linebackers. Last year we had the top defense in the Big Sky. We have taken a few key injuries here though so our defense has a few question marks, but our secondary should be pretty fantastic, though thin.

Hopefully you guys bring a couple thousand fans down to Dallas. Talk about culture shock. Wait until those folks see the SMU campus.

Should be quite a few actually, I believe they've got a charter plane for the fans coming down. And we have a few players out of Euless high school that will definitely have families there!

Beautiful with the mountains in the background. I was talking more in terms of the actual SMU campus. I've been to many college campuses across this great land of ours. I have only seen one that trumps SMU (Vanderbilt). SMU is truly a breathtaking campus.

Oh no doubt! Actually I really want to see SMU campus because I hear it's gorgeous and I originally included that in the post but pressed back after previewing it the first time...

I really don't have anything to add in this comment. I just wanted provide a bump so that this thread would be the most active topic on the SMU Fan Football Forum 2 days before the big game against Texas Tech. :D

Just an FYI, MSU beat Monmouth (half-funded FCS team) handily last night, 42-24 but it was never that close as we took a 39-3 halftime lead and took our starters out before the 4th quarter started.

Good luck Saturday against Tech!
